Through agreements with several publishers I review their latest art/craft books and magazines for various online places. These reviews are on Amazon, LibraryThing, my personal blog (http://burdart.blogspot.com), and the Journal Pages Facebook group (over 500 members) when appropriate. I also do articles and product reviews for CraftCritique.com. I currently have only book and magazine reviews on my personal blog while the product reviews are on CraftCritique.
I am changing that by partnering with several new companies so that I can feature more art-related goods and sites. Especially products that help my readers lead an artful life. Some of the upcoming features include:
Spoonflower
Hammerpress
Satch & Sol
Studio Calico
Ecojot
Crazy Daisy Kits
Friendship Stone
TapeSwell
Carta, Inc.
Graphique de France
PIKME Papers
as well as several others listed in my blog sidebar.
In addition, I will also be featuring several indie artists and crafters from Etsy.
I do have a posted disclaimer that the reviews I do are never for pay and only for books and artful goods that I personally use and love.
If you are interested in being featured I have two options available:
#1) sending product for a review. You would send a small selection of goods that are representative of your site/shop, perhaps your most popular items or from your newest line. If sending supplies they will be used in 2-3 projects.
#2) trading product for a monthly sponsor space. A sponsorship includes the product review as well as a sidebar button that runs for one month. I can send more details on that if you are interested.
You also have the option to host a giveaway with either of these. A giveaway generates more excitement and more traffic.
Blog reviews consist of 500-750 word review with photos. These are crossmarketed to other sites as appropriate.
Please look in the right sidebar and click on Books if you'd like to read a recent review.
My December visitor stats are: 6500 Unique Hits and 17,600 Page Views. My Google PageRank is 4.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you.
